Pendekatan SOAR Untuk Strategi Pengembangan Usaha Penggilingan Padi di Kecamatan Maesaan Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan

Abstract

This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the strengths, opportunities, aspirations and results of a family rice milling business. The information was collected from business owners scattered in several villages in South Minahasa Regency. Identification of strengths, opportunities, aspirations and results (SOAR) were obtained from both observational results and interviews with five informants as business owners. The analysis has revealed that the main strength is the adequacy of machinery and other supporting facilities. The most prevalent result is the existence of a strong tie within the rice growers-owners. The dominant strategy is to boost cooperation, marketing and increase production levels.
