Peranan Penyuluh Pertanian Terhadap Perkembangan Usahatani Tanaman Jagung Di Kelurahan Sukur Kabupaten Minahasa Utara

Agriculture instructors are part of the national development and are a process of transformation from traditional agriculture to resilient agriculture that is able to optimally utilize the natural resources. The purpose and problem of this study was to find out the roles of agriculture instructors towards the development of corn farming of Terpahor farmer group in Sukur Village, North Minahasa Regency. This study was conducted using the qualitative method with purposive sampling technique as many as 15 samples taken based on predetermined criteria. The data analysis technique used in this study was the likert scale and class intervals. The results of this study showed that the most dominant was the role of instructors as facilitators with a total value of 4,1. The common response stated that the role of the instructors was in facilitating supporting aid. Supporting aid is divided into two, which is aid for instruction activities and farming activities. The supporting aid in instruction activities consists of instruction preparation sheets, stationery, projector/LCD, leaflets, brochures, posters, and room facilities. While the supporting aid in farming activities includes tractors, shovels, hoes, machetes, tools for exterminating pests, tools for placing seeds, and tools for watering plants. Thus the roles of agriculture instructors towards the development of corn farming of Terpahor farmer group in Sukur Village, North Minahasa Regency can be categorized as the instructors with the role of facilitating the supporting aid to the farmer group.
